Aera Energy started going deep Friday.
The Bakersfield-based oil company and its partners started drilling 
a deep gas exploration well in a job that is expected to last seven 
months and reach a total depth of 20,000 feet.The company's 
exploration in the Lost Hills area of northern Kern County.
